Earth Day Event
Apr

10:00 AM10:00

Earth Day Event

Biggest Little Plant Pod, The Plant Based Treaty and Plant Based Strategies will be manning a booth at Reno’s Earth Day Event.

THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM IS REALLY A COW!

It is well established that animal-based foods tend to have far higher GHG emissions than plant-based alternatives, both in total and in per protein produced (Poore and Nemecek 2018; Xu et al. 2021).

Dietary change is therefore increasingly highlighted as an important and necessary mitigation option for food system sustainability.

There are very few calls for a global transition to a vegan diet (animal rights advocates excepted), so join us as we share this important information.

OUR GOAL IS THE SHARE INFORMATION, AND ENGAGE IN POLITE CONVERSATION ABOUT THE WAYS ANIMAL AGRICULTURE IS SO DETRIMENTAL TO THE PLANET, AND BY EATING MORE PLANT BASED FOODS YOU ARE DOING YOURSELF A FAVOR TOO.

Volunteer positions available in the booth and at the event itself.

Email us at biggestlittleplantpodreno@gmail.com or check out the positions at Great American Craft Fairs.

About the documentary:

Two daring filmmakers embark on a global quest sparked by the not-so-simple question “is there a spiritual way to kill an animal”, and along the way discover the biggest coverup in the last 2000 years.

For 5 years, filmmakers Kip Andersen and Kameron Waters, traveled around the world hopping from Rome to Jerusalem, Oxford to India—interviewing everyone from renowned theologians and archeologists to Christian farmers and Indigenous shamans—all to reveal a massive coverup, one that will transform history, forever.

From the co-creator of the hit Netflix documentaries Seaspiracy, Cowspiracy and What the Health, Christspiracy is a fascinating investigation that will change the way you think about faith, ethics and our relationship with creation.
